A WealthTrace alternative with fewer moving parts

Meridary is an alternative for households that do not need WealthTrace's connected accounts, report suite, insurance analysis, or Deluxe scenarios.

By Steven, Founder · Updated September 2, 2026

Short answer

  • WealthTrace provides broader planning and support features through annual Standard and Deluxe tiers.
  • Meridary supports a smaller household model with manual data and a lifetime purchase choice.
  • A switch trades away reports, linked accounts, insurance analysis, and advanced scenario breadth.

What WealthTrace already gives you

WealthTrace Standard includes core retirement planning, linked or imported accounts, tax and Social Security updates, insurance analysis, reports, and support. Deluxe adds Trace AI and advanced tax, investment, historical-market, asset-allocation, and Roth-conversion scenarios.

Why someone might prefer less software

Meridary's single feature set is available through a $149–$199 founding lifetime license or a $12-per-month subscription. It presents fewer account, household, tax, and reporting choices and makes the omissions explicit.

That reduced surface can be easier to maintain, but only when the omitted WealthTrace capabilities are not needed for the household or decision being modeled.

What does not come with you

Meridary does not import a WealthTrace plan, link accounts, generate a professional planning report, analyze life or long-term-care insurance, provide Trace AI, or offer WealthTrace's broader Deluxe scenario set.

Make the switch only when scope still fits

Rebuild the supported household in Meridary and compare its assumptions with the WealthTrace features you actually use. A lower-complexity plan is valuable only when it still represents the financial decisions you need to test.

No. Meridary includes Roth-conversion effects and its stated retirement-tax model, but not WealthTrace's full investment, historical-market, insurance, report, AI, or support feature set.
